Billing
Our administrative team is dedicated to helping you achieve optimal dental health and understanding your insurance. Please feel free to ask any member of our team for clarification on services and billing. If you are unclear whether a service will be covered by your insurance, we will be happy to submit a pre-estimate for treatment prior to scheduling your next appointment.
We expect payment at the time services are rendered for your portion of the total estimated expense of treatment. For example, if a procedure is estimated to be covered at 80%, we will collect 20% of the total cost at the time of your appointment. You are responsible for any balance your insurance does not cover.
Insurance
We are happy to file most insurance claims. Traditionally, most offices ask that you pay your entire bill and be reimbursed by your insurance company. To better serve you, we will submit your insurance claims to your dental insurance carriers, and only ask that you cover your co-payments and your estimated portion.
Dental insurance is a contract between you, your employer and your insurance company. If you provide us with benefit information before your appointment, we will gladly call your insurance carrier to provide you with an estimate of benefits. When you visit us, our experienced office team will be happy to help you understand your benefits as well as create a plan with you to optimize those benefits. It is always a good idea to be familiar with your own insurance policy, and we are be happy to assist you in any way we can. It is our obligation to provide our patients with the highest quality dental care. Although your dental coverage may assist you in paying for your dental care, it should not determine your choice of treatment for care. You don’t have to put off treatment because it is too expensive!
Preferred Providers
We are in network with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina and Delta Dental Premier. If your carrier is not listed, it does not mean you will not receive dental benefits. In fact, they are usually similar fees for you. Under most contracts, patients receive dental benefits regardless of whether the dentist is under contract, allowing you to choose the quality of provider you prefer.
No Insurance? No Problem!
We accept cash, money orders, checks, debit and most major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express). Additionally, we offer financing options because we understand that monthly payments can help patients fit the cost of dental treatment into their budgets.
For those who qualify, we offer interest-free financing through CareCredit®. With CareCredit, you can finance 100% of your dental treatment and there are no upfront costs, annual fees or pre-payment penalties. Both options offer a full range of payment plans so you can find a plan that works well for you. They also allow for revolving payments with a variable interest rate.
